Tom Elliott weighs in on a proposal to intervene against shoplifting following massive surge

Tom Elliott has reacted to the news Victoria’s shoplifting rate has increased by almost 50 per cent in the last year.

The concerning statistic comes as a Police and Crime Commissioner in the UK has called on citizens to intervene in shoplifting incidents.

“I see what he’s getting at … The only thing I would caution against tackling a shoplifter; you don’t know what that person is on,” he said.
