Tom Elliott weighs in on the Mark Knight cartoon of Jacinta Allan

Tom Elliott has weighed in on the Herald Sun cartoon by Mark Knight depicting Victorian Premier, Jacinta Allan, naked on a runway at Melbourne Fashion Week.

He says Jacinta Allan wants to be treated equally but she should expect to be mocked equally as well.

“Mark Knight did a cartoon during the COVID epidemic, it was a take off the classic Nirvana Nevermind cover which has the baby floating in the pool completely naked … and instead, it’s Daniel Andrews … Now that wasn’t misogynistic imagery, it was mocking the then-premier,” he said.
