Tom Elliott whacks secretive Yarra Ranges council

The Yarra Ranges councillors used to have a expense claim cap of $4000.

Then they upped it to $8000.

Now there’s no limit.

And now ratepayers won’t know how their councillors are spending their money, because there won’t have to be any votes.

Why the change? Because a councillor was apparently ‘ostracized’ when 3AW Drive revealed how much she was claiming on childcare.
