Tom Elliott’s big question about the immigration debate

The Australian Hotels Association created an ad highlighting the potential impact on jobs in Australia if immigration numbers are cut.

3AW Mornings host Tom Elliott questioned why Australia was so dependent on migrants to do certain jobs when more than 700,000 Australians were collecting unemployment benefits.

“I think working for a relatively low wage is infinitely preferable to just collecting unemployment benefits,” he said.
