Tom Elliott’s big question ahead of the Glasgow Commonwealth Games

The 2026 Glasgow Commonwealth Games, largely funded by Victoria, will get underway on Friday.

And Tom Elliott questioned whether Australians would have much interest in the games, particularly given the time difference between Scotland and Australia.

“I don’t think we will see hordes of people waking up at four or five in the morning to watch, say, the opening ceremony for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow as we saw for various World Cup games,” the 3AW Mornings host said.
