Is there anything wrong with this? Fiona Patten says billboard slogan a bit of fun

Reason Party MP Fiona Patten says she doesn’t think there’s an issue with her new billboard using a swear word to make a point.

The billboard on Spencer Street reads “A politician who knows who to get s**t done” with letters ‘sh’ crossed out.

Tom Elliott questioned the slogan on 3AW Drive.

Ms Patten said the idea came from a competition run by staff asking people to come up with a slogan for her new billboard.

Tom questioned if it was appropriate language but Ms Patten said it was commonly used language.

“I don’t think it’s a problem,” she said.

“There are some words that are now in our very common lexicon.

“It’s certainly a word we would use in parliament.

“This was a message we thought was fun and according to our supporters described and depicted what we had achieved.”
