Tom Elliott’s push for tracking devices on returning Islamic State brides
Tom Elliott has implored the government to place tracking devices on brides of Islamic State members returning to Victoria with their families.
The families will be repatriated from Syrian detention camps, and will be re-housed in Victoria, but not until after the state election.
Elliott was strong in his stance for the safety of Victorians being paramount in this situation.
“We’ve got to put the safety of everyday Victorians ahead of the rights of the Islamic State brides and their kids to live amongst us,” Elliott said.
