Tom Elliott’s warning as pro-Palestinian protesters prepare to shut down Melbourne next week

Pro-Palestinian protests are threatening to shut down major cities in Australia and around the world next week.

The group ‘A15 Action’ wants to cause disruption in Melbourne as the Israel-Gaza war in the Middle East rages on.

Tom Elliott wonders if the threat to shut down cities was actually beneficial to the overall cause, warning that action “could be chaotic”.

“We’ve had so many protests – there’s hardly a day goes by without a pro-Palestinian protest,” he told 3AW Mornings.

“I don’t think (these protests) make people sympathetic to the cause.”
