A rare spectacle will hover above us on Wednesday night.

A “super blue blood moon” will appear around midnight, with clear skies predicted to give us the best

Perry Vlahos of the Astronomical Society of Victoria told Denis Walter the moon will not actually appear blue.

“If we’re fortunate, we may see a coopery red moon,” Mr Vlahos said.
