Tony Abbot is riding around the country for the Pollie-pedal and spoke with Neil

Tony Abbott is riding his bike around the country for the annual Pollie Pedal.

The 1000km ride has been running for 19 years raising money for Carers Australia. 

Mr Abbott is currently in the NSW town of Canowindra and the team have raised over $300,000.

Neil questioned Mr Abbott on the current government position – ‘The government is obviously campaigning on your record, how much of your record is the problem?’ – 

In response the ex-PM says – ‘Obviously there were some mistakes the Abbott government made, no one is perfect’ 

Tony Abbott is all for the current government and is hoping the Turnbull government is re-elected.

When asked about the double dissolution, Mr Abbott thinks they should just pass the legislation.
