Tony Jones clashes with Extinction Rebellion activist over continued protests

Tony Jones has taken an Extinction Rebellion activist to task following claims disruptions are the only way their cause gets attraction.

Extinction Rebellion spokesperson, Jane Morton, says the media don’t report on the effects of climate change but she was quickly shut down.

“I’ve been on 3AW three or four times, and the only time I can get on is when we do something … newsworthy, if it bleeds, it leads,” she said.

Following the news of another protest later this day, TJ offered Ms Morton the opportunity for 30 minutes of airtime for a “sensible” conversation if they cancelled tonight’s protest.
