3AW Afternoons host Tony Moclair has said an article on the looming demolition of the Royal Australian Air Force’s (RAAF) Point Cook base is an “overstatement”.

He said “the base itself is definitely not going to be demolished”.

Former RAAF member who worked at Point Cook, Graham Malcolm, then weighed in on the reports claiming the base is set for demolition.

“This is a national historic site,” Mr Malcolm told Tony Moclair.
