Top cop won’t be ‘advising’ Jewish community to stay away from rallies
Victoria Police won’t be advising the Jewish community to stay away from rallies, as they work closely with the community against potential hostility.
Chief Commissioner Shane Patton says additional security is not yet needed at Jewish schools, however police have been patrolling Melbourne to ensure the safety of the wider Jewish community.
“It’s important that… we come together as a city to make sure people do feel supported and confident they can go about their own business,” he told Neil Mitchell.
