Top roads cop exposes legal loop-hole as e-bike operation begins

Top roads cop Glenn Weir has told Tom Elliott the behaviour of some using e-bikes is endemic of broader reckless behaviour.

He says police who impound illegal bikes from children and teens are being forced to bear the cost,  and called out a loophole which allows illegal e-bikes to be imported into Australia.

“This is every jurisdiction in Australia – I’ve spoken with my colleagues from every other state around this, and we’re all seeing the same thing,” he said.
