Top roads cop slams ‘concerning’ behaviour of motorcyclists amid alarming road toll
Assistant Commissioner for Road Policing at Victoria Police, Glenn Weir, has slammed the “concerning” behaviour of some motorcyclists on Victorian roads amid an alarming road toll.
In this year alone, 28 lives have been lost as a result of motorbikes in Victoria compared to 17 last year, along with a 112 per cent increase in pedestrian deaths from this time last year.
“Unfortunately we’ve seen a lot of riders who shouldn’t be riding who are unlicensed or disqualified,” he told Jacqui Felgate on 3AW Drive.
