A Total Fire Ban has been declared for most of Victoria ahead of extreme weather forecast for Saturday.

South West, Central, Wimmera, North Central and West and South Gippsland regions will all be under Total Fire Ban conditions tomorrow, with temperatures set to nudge 40 degrees in some parts of the state.

“It’s going to be very hot over the next three days,” CFA Chief Fire Officer Jason Heffernan  told Heidi Murphy on 3AW Drive, filling in for Jacqui Felgate.

“It’ll be a very uncomfortable three days.”
