Total fire ban extended to central Victoria as state braces for dangerous conditions
A total fire ban has been extended to Central, South West and North Central areas as the state braces for dangerous conditions on Tuesday.
The CFA earlier declared a total fire ban for the Wimmera, Mallee and Northern Country due to “catastrophic and extreme weather conditions”, but late on Monday updated its advice to include much of the state.
A catastrophic rating remains for parts of western Victoria tomorrow, with residents in the region urged to leave tonight or early in the morning.
