Tourism industry ‘really struggling’ with worsening worker shortage

Tourism operators are struggling to find enough workers ,with the problem hitting crisis point in regional areas.

CEO of the Victorian Tourism Industry Council, Felicia Mariani, says staff shortages are even worse than they were a year ago and the industry is “really struggling”.

“We just simply can’t fill the demand we have for staff right now and a lot of this is unfortunately exacerbated by the slow return of our international workforce,” she told Heidi Murphy, filling in for Tom Elliott.
