Traffic delays as truck brings down powerlines in Ripponlea

A truck crash that brought down powerlines on Brighton Road Ripponlea is expected to continue to cause major traffic delays throughout the morning peak.

Chris Miller from VicRoads says one city-bound lane has re-opened but traffic is heavy in the area.

“City-bound motorists can use the inner carriageway, there is one lane open there,” he sad.

“The outer carriageway will remain closed until lunchtime.”
