Tram driver grabbed by the throat in nasty St Kilda assault
A man who boarded a tram with a young child in St Kilda has allegedly assaulted the female driver.
The man boarded the train at Balaclava Train Station at about 4.40pm on Saturday, 13 November, and allegedly became verbally abusive.
He was asked to leave the tram, then it’s alleged he reached through the driver’s window and grabbed the driver by her throat.
Police have released images of a man they want to speak to in relation to the incident.
