Victorian Transport Association CEO, Peter Anderson, has shut down the idea of priority bus lanes, as it would only “exacerbate the problem” of congestion on the roads in Melbourne’s west.

It comes after Public Transport Users Association spokesperson, Daniel Bowen, brought up the idea on 3AW Mornings yesterday.

Mr Anderson said priority bus lanes would make people “more frustrated and more unsure of how to get around”.
