Transport Association welcomes changes to isolation rules, but there is one key problem
The Victorian Transport Association has welcomed changes to isolation requirements that will allow critical workers deemed close contacts of COVID-19 cases to return to work immediately, provided they have no symptoms and test negative on a rapid antigen test.
But there’s one problem – like many others, they can’t get their hands on RATs.
Peter Anderson, chief executive officer of the Victorian Transport Association, said the change was a “good move” from government but said ticking off the testing requirement was “easier said than done” at the moment.
He said it was yet another frustrating example of government policy not being reality during the pandemic.
“Here we go again,” he said.
