Road disruptions will see Flinder St between Swanston and Elizabeth streets close as part of wider works across Melbourne and Victoria this coming winter.

Transport Minister, Danny Pearson says the closure will last for three weeks.

“For the bulk of that time though … trams will be able to run, apart for a weekend,” he told Heidi Murphy, filling in for Jacqui Felgate.

He’s also says the government has been left frustrated by Melbourne Airport over the shelved airport rail link.

“We’ve tried to reach an agreement … there’s very little we can do,” he said.
