Two dead in one morning: Man killed in three-car Yarra Ranges collision
A man has died after a three-car crash in the Yarra Ranges.
Emergency services were called to the Warburton Highway in Seville East about 5.20am.
It’s believed two vehicles collided in a head-on smash, and a third vehicle crashed into them soon afterwards.
Three people were injured in the crash.
One of those people, a man, was trapped for some time after the accident.
He later died at the scene.
Two other men, aged in their 20s and 30s, were both taken to Maroondah Hospital in a stable condition.
The Warburton Highway is currently closed in both directions from Joyce Road and Old Warburton Highway.

Meanwhile, police are also seeking witnesses to another fatality in Melbourne’s east.
A motorcyclist dying in hospital overnight after being hit by a car that was turning right from York Street onto Mont Albert Road in Mont Albert shortly before 6pm.
The driver is assisting police with their enquiries.
