Trio on the run after shooting, crash and carjacking in Melbourne’s north

Three offenders remain on the run following a shooting, car crash and carjacking in Melbourne’s north overnight.

The alarming series of incidents began with a verbal altercation outside a property on Maguire Street in Lalor at about 9pm.

The offenders left in a vehicle, with the victim giving chase in his car.

A shot was fired from the offending vehicle and a collision has occurred between the two cars on Blessington Parade.

That’s when three occupants of the offending car have fled on foot, carjacking an innocent motorist nearby.

Police say fortunately no-one was injured in the incidents.

But three offenders remain on the run and the vehicle stolen in the carjacking yet to be located.
