Triple Zero boss hits back at ‘very wrong and really quite disrespectful’ claims

The boss of Victoria’s emergency call service has hit back at claims made in today’s Herald Sun, labelling them “very, very wrong and really quite disrespectful”.
The newspaper reports Triple Zero Victoria is seriously understaffed, with as few as four people rostered on to cover the entire state during some time periods.
But Triple Zero Victoria’s CEO, Debra Abbott, told 3AW’s Heidi Murphy the service is “meeting every single performance standard” and if the service was understaffed to the degree reported, it wouldn’t possibly be able to operate.
