Triple Zero hero Charlette Portughese shares her story with Neil Mitchell

Charlette Portughese will be honoured as a Triple Zero hero for her incredible composure speaking to a Triple Zero operator.

The quick-thinking youngster called to help her mum Jessica in February this year.

But she stole the show when she spoke to Neil Mitchell on 3AW Mornings.

The bright Grade 3 student giggled and chatted with Neil in the studio, telling him about her passion for animals.

It was a simple lesson she learnt at school that kicked-in.

‘She was very, very calm,’ mum Jessica said.

The 3AW switchboard lit up with listeners moved by the ‘absolutely gorgeous’ girl.
