Truck crashes into Lorne house

A truck driver has deliberately crashed into an empty house to avoid smashing into a busy intersection at Lorne.

The dramatic incident happened on Monday afternoon.

 

The driver of the truck is said to be in a stable condition.

Wayne Aylmer from the local CFA said crews had spent several hours trying to free the driver.

‘It’s been quite a complex task,’ he told Tom Elliott.
