Truck driver killed in horror accident on Hume Freeway

A truck driver has been killed in a horrible accident on the Hume Freeway in Northwood near Seymour.

At 6:40am on Friday morning a truck travelling northbound on the Hume Freeway rolled over and became engulfed in flames.

The driver died at the scene.

The person was the sole occupant of the truck.

Traffic is queued for almost four kilometres on the freeway while investigators conduct an investigation.

All city-bound lanes remain closed more than eight hours after the crash.

Traffic is being redirected and motorists can expect delays of up to 15 minutes.
