Truck manufacturer slashes 70 jobs in Melbourne’s east

Seventy workers have today been made redundant at a heavy truck manufacturing factory in Melbourne’s outer-east.

Kenworth Trucks Australia confirms it has laid off workers currently employed at its Bayswater North plant.

The company employs 900 people at the facility.

All employees who have been made redundant have been notified.
