Truck rollover shuts Monash Freeway

Drivers can expect chaos on the Monash Freeway tonight after a truck rollover.

The truck, full of pottery, rolled near Ernst Wanke Road around 3pm.

The driver is said to be OK.

All outbound lanes are closed and VicRoads said that wouldn’t change for a while.

‘We’re not expecting it to be open again until about 6pm,’ Steve Bean told Tom Elliott on 3AW Drive.

It caps off a disastrous day on Melbourne’s roads, with Montague Street shut for most of the day due to a bus smash.
