True retirement could become a thing of the past, says finance guru
Scott Haywood thinks true retirement might become a thing of the past.
Tom Elliott revealed his plan to retire around the age of 67, but the finance guru said that plan is unrealistic.
‘I think that people need to be mentally challenged,’ Mr Haywood said on Thursday.
‘People need to have their work become a hobby.
‘You’ll start to see people taking longer leave, and then coming back and keeping their brain active.’
And Mr Haywood said it’s also becoming harder to maintain a retired lifestyle financially.
‘I can tell you: the cost of living isn’t going down.’
