Turnbull’s speech on his wealth ‘one of the best’: Neil Mitchell
LISTEN: Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull’s speech a ‘winner’
Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull addressing his wealth in parliament yesterday put Julia Gillard’s misogyny speech to shame, Neil Mitchell says.
Fielding criticisms he’s out of touch and elitist, Mr Turnbull delivered an ‘articulate, well-argued’ philosophical speech.
‘I think Malcolm Turnbull showed yesterday in parliament that he has got the political nous that people have wondered whether he’s got,’ Neil Mitchell said.
‘Bill Shorten and the Labor Party were going after him because of his money and his involvement in the Cayman Islands.
‘I think that this is one of the best speeches I’ve heard in the parliament for a long time.
‘It puts Julia Gillard’s misogyny speech to shame because the misogyny speech was bitter and negative towards an individual.’
