Malcolm Turnbull has taken aim at the ABC’s “inaccurate reporting” while assuring the broadcaster will remain in public hands.

The PM told Neil Mitchell the ABC would “never be privatised” under any government he leads.

“I think we would both agree the ABC will always be in public ownership,” he said.

“Yes I think some presenters, some programs are biased more to the left but what I’ve found disappointing in recent times is the quality of the journalism, the lack of accuracy.

“There has been too many cases of simply inaccurate reporting.”
