TV crew busts suspected looters at Maribyrnong

Suspected looters have almost been caught in the act by a Channel 9 television crew at Maribyrnong, with weather presenter Tim Davies in “no doubt” what he saw.

The crew had arrived on Oakland Street to do a report when Davies says he spotted a group of masked men rushing out of a house and into a navy Ford Territory.

“Right from the get-go, as I turned the corner, I knew they were up to something strange and they knew I was onto them, as well, because they couldn’t get out of here quick enough,” he said.

Bill Shorten said it was “disgusting” news.

“They better hope the local residents don’t catch them,” he said.
