A TV weatherman in the US appears to have been caught out faking his battle against gale-force winds during a live cross in North Carolina.

The Weather Channel’s Mike Seidel was seemingly battling to stay upright, saying “This is about as nasty as it’s been!”

“This bloke, is doing his very best, he’s got his microphone, he’s got his weather-proof gear on and he’s barely able to stand up in the face of this enormous hurricane,” Ross said this morning.

But viewers have spotted two pedestrians calmly strolling past in the background, seemingly unaffected by the wind.

“There’s two blokes in shorts just strolling past like they’re going to the beach!” Burnso said.
