Baby fights for life after horror smash at Yering

A baby is fighting for life and two women have been seriously injured following a horror smash at Yering.

3AW Drive was alerted to the horrific crash by several callers on Friday afternoon.

Emergency crews received a call for help just before 4pm.

The smash saw the Melba Highway has been closed in both directions between Healesville-Yarra Glen Road and the Maroondah Highway.

The condition of the two women has not been disclosed.
