Two arrested after suspicious activity near South Yarra restaurant

Police have foiled an attempted arson attack on popular South Yarra restaurant, France Soir.

Two people were seen with jerry cans inside a vehicle near the licensed premises on Toorak Road just after 3:30am.

A search located jerry cans, accelerant, an imitation firearm and drugs.

A 31-year-old Sandringham man and a 22-year-old woman from Mooroolbark are currently in custody.
