Two attackers on the run after brazen Brunswick stabbing

Two people remain on the run following a stabbing in broad daylight at a Brunswick intersection.

The victim, and 18-year-old male, was reportedly involved in a verbal altercation with two unknown males shortly before 5pm on Tuesday.

He was then chased to the middle of Sydney Road and Brunswick Road and assaulted, before being stabbed outside a convenience store.

His attackers fled on foot.

Fortunately, the victim’s injuries are not life-threatening.

Police are still searching for the man’s attackers.

One of the offenders is perceived to be of African appearance, the other is perceived to be Caucasian.

They say they’d be surprised if there weren’t witnesses, given the location and time of day, and are urging them to come forward.
