Two killed in horror Caulfield South crash
Two people have been killed in a fatal smash in Caulfield South on Monday evening.
Police have been told a black BMW sedan was travelling on North Road when it collided with a silver sedan, forcing it to roll.
The two occupants in the silver sedan died at the scene. The BMW driver and passenger were seriously injured.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
There have been 117 lives lost on Victoria’s roads this year, up from 88 at the same time last year. Victoria Police will stage a day of action targeting speeding drivers on Saturday, with excessive speed identified as a suspected factor in at least 31 per cent of fatal collisions on the state’s roads this year.
