Two men freed from wreckage of stolen unmarked police car at Box Hill South

Investigations are underway into a dramatic crash involving an unmarked stolen police car and bus at Box Hill South.

The incident happened on Station Street just before 1pm on Friday, leaving two men trapped in the Holden Commodore.

It’s believed the car was stolen from a Hughesdale property last night.

It was spotted by officers in another unmarked car, with one trying to flag the car down as it sped past before slamming into the bus.

Two men had to be freed from the wreckage of the Holden – one suffering serious injuries – the other minor.

The bus driver was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.
