Two men have died in separate incidents on work sites in Melbourne today.

A 25-year-old Doveton man was electrocuted whilst performing maintenance works on an air conditioner.

Emergency services were called to the Braeside site, on Canterbury Road, about 10.30am. Workplace is now investigating.

In a separate incident, a man was crushed to death by machinery that fell off a forklift at a work site in Keysborough.

Police were called to the business on Kirkham Road West about 12.30pm. The man died at the scene.

He is yet to be formally identified.

Worksafe are investigating and police will prepare a report for the Coroner.

Peter Flaherty from WorkSafe told Tom Elliott that this is a bad time of year for workplace accidents.
