Two men on the run after ram raid in Melbourne’s east

Two men are on the run following a ram raid in Melbourne’s east overnight.

The men reversed a maroon marone Holden Captiva through the front doors of the liquor store on Stephenson’s Road, Mount Waverley about 4.20am.

Once inside, the offenders stole cigarettes and alcohol before getting back in the vehicle and fleeing the scene.

They were last seen driving south on Stephenson’s Road.

Witnesses and anyone who has since seen the damaged Captiva is urged to come forward.
