Two on the run after bakery hit-run in Thornbury

Two people are on the run after a car was forced off the road and crashed into a bakery in Thornbury.

Investigators have been told a white Toyota Corolla ran a red light on the corner of High and Clarendon streets just after midnight, striking another white Corolla and forcing it off the road.

The victim’s vehicle crashed into the front of a bakery, causing significant damage.

The offending vehicle — a white Toyota Corolla — came to a stop 400 metres up the road and two male occupants fled on foot.
