Two people rescued by cruise ship off Wilson’s Promontory

Two people have been rescued by a cruise ship after they abandoned their boat in rough waters off Wilson’s Promontory on Monday night.

The man and woman got into difficulty around 10pm and deployed an emergency beacon.

The police airwing found the pair around midnight and contacted a nearby cruise ship, which deployed a rescue boat to take the pair on board.
