Two tobacco shops firebombed in the space of two hours overnight

Two tobacco shops have been firebombed in the space of two hours early this morning.

A Molotov cocktail was hurled through the window of a business on Paisley Street in Footscray just before 3am this morning with the perpetrators fleeing the scene in a vehicle.

Then at around 5am, emergency crews were called to a fire at a tobacco shop on Spring Square in Hallam.

Nobody was injured thankfully with Taskforce Lunar detectives and arson chemists expected to visit both of the stores later this morning.
