Two Victorian MPs react to the Premier’s ‘halfwit grub’ comment
Daniel Andrews has refused to apologise for calling Liberal MP Cindy McLeish a “halfwit grub” on Tuesday.
The Premier withdrew the comment because it was deemed unparliamentary, but has not apologised.
Liberal MP Joe McCracken told Neil Mitchell “it was particularly unparliamentary to do that”.
“Wouldn’t you think this bloke would be more focused on the iasues of the state rather than making personal attacks on people?,” he said.
Animal Justice Party MP Georgie Purcell says she’s “personally not a fan of name calling in Parliament, ever”, but “the Liberals have been slightly hypocritical on this”.
