Jake Carlisle’s two match ban has been upheld by the AFL Tribunal.

The St Kilda player was tonight aiming to get his two game ban for striking downgraded.

The Saints were hoping to get the impact reduced to low or medium to cut the ban to one week for the incident that left Richmond’s Jack Reiwoldt concussed.

He was the sixth player this season to try his luck at the AFL tribunal.

Caroline Wilson said on Sportsday it was clumsy.

“I hate to say it, but it shows a lack of leadership,” she said.

“You shouldn’t do stuff like that.

“He certainly deserved to get at least a week.”

Bruce Eva said the inconsistency of the Match Review Panel was “staggering”.
