Uber criticised for ‘shocking’ surcharges after major delays hit train network
Uber is facing criticism for their “shocking” surcharges after public transport users were quoted over $100 to get home after major delays impacted the train network.
Public transport user Tyanna, says after being stuck at Glenferrie train station for 40 minutes, she looked at Uber where the cost she was quoted to get home was “ridiculous”.
“The cheapest one was $130 and the most expensive was $180 just to get from Glenferrie to Ferntree Gully,” she told Jacqui Felgate.
