Uber is moving closer and closer to being legalised across Australia, but taxi officials deny it’s a ‘win’ for the ride-sharing service.

There are detailed reports the NSW Government will soon make Uber legal.

But NSW taxi boss Roy Wakelin-King denied suggestions it meant the controversial service had ‘won’ the taxi war.

‘I don’t necessarily subscribe to that point of view,’ he told Neil Mitchell on 3AW Mornings.

‘We think that if the playing field is level, the competition is fair and even ? with the greatest respect to Uber, we’ll do them like a dog’s dinner.’
